Note: The ambulances are equipped with DTMF microphones which allow them to activate one hospital's PL tone. For exmaple dialing 5210 on 155.3400 would enable the 192.8 PL for Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Ambulances also have a selector on the HEAR radio that selects the right DTMF to hospitals they often transport.
